You can't win at everything. In this video I get a humbling lesson in failure as I try to make a Recurve bow only to have it blow up in my face when I try to use it. We all have to pay for our education one way or another and I learned a lot so not a total loss. Nice
jeez, you could have a wedding on that thing. What a cool project. Thanks for sharing it.
Bottom step is a 7 inch rise whereas the top two are a 5.5 inch rise.
YOUR HAIR CUT IS AWESOME BOSS. I MUST SAY IT .
French system for hang heavy book reg in kids room is so dangerous.
What a view of that lake and mountains.
Hey bill you said we get a discount on that piston coating from china? Yeah Make it happen 😂
No smoke No problem No oil😂
That time when you see Sasquatch and tell nobody 😂
I would not put heavy equipment on that. All the rotational forces are attached through plastic. Getting equipment on/off would add stress to individual pontoons on the edge. I’d consult with an experienced pontoon builder first…I’d hate to see a small skid steer at the bottom of the lake. I imagine you need steel strapping and link pontoons in water too.
given all the flexing & movement possible I would have thru bolted the perimeter with 3/8 hardware instead of lag screws. big enough to put a catapult on it !!
Freakin awesome
Beautiful children, you are truly blessed. This bench is a piece of heirloom quality furniture, you are a talented craftsman. Great video to boot.
Dude where ya beeb ___ missed ya !!
No ramp ???
When is the next next video being uploaded?
Beautiful wood carving router 👍❤️
I've seen some beautiful workbenches. I would have to say this one is still my favorite. I just love those through tenons. Tusked, wedged, pinned...they all added a lot of character. And that shoulder vise, wow.
Did you level this BEFORE it dried? Or after?
oh yeah, that's what. why didn't you deck across the pontoons? or go diagonal? +++++
Do you think any of the Japanese chisels on lee Valley are worth buying?
Thank you Tom for showing us your tool's. Right now I'm restoring a Totem pole my brother carved when he was 10 year's old the log was an old telephone pole we pulled out of an alley. I help my brother drag it back to the house using a skate board. This was back in 1975 I believe. I put up a video of it primerd getting it ready to paint and I have a few repairs I have to make on it. When I get it all done I'll post a video of it. It's been through it some were telling me to just toss it, but I'm determine to refreshen it up so it can be around long after I'm gone.
So super joinery. This is not for the shop I think.
Why didn’t you just plunge the router a little more instead of going through the chisel please?
I’d like to see a video or picture of this thing actually being used as a WORKBENCH and not a piece of modern art that looks like it belongs in an art gallery.
How many drills/hammers were dropped in the water?
it would helpif you built the fucking house
30x30 hey that's bigger than your whole property 😂
Arrow Lakes?
Well, I came looking for advice to install railings. I found an artist. Who has mastered his craft. Well done partner. Wish I could afford your services!
Based on the comments no one in here wants to know what I think! lol
It’s super weird for a white man to nickname himself a samurai lol…
as always, God Bless you man🤝 another great video😀
Great bench. Too bad you can't get to any free plans or any plans at all as seen above. All route lead to subscription dashboards but no real plans.
Jb weld it
Where'd you get that cool-ass glue bottle?
Love how supportive your kids are ❤❤
You really need to pour a concrete pad. Your mill is resting on a dozen small independent concrete piers. Each will inevitably settle after dropping logs on them at different rates and you'll be constantly having to shim them back up. The trackhoe helps as you can gently put the logs on the sawmill.
110%
Really enjoyed both of your getting to know you videos. Love your humor Samurai and your wife’s patience. In your who is the Samurai video, I appreciate your vulnerability. Most men (I being one unfortunately) struggle with who I am and having the strength to get to know where I want to be. I know it’s been said by others but your comment, “your beliefs dictate your reality, don’t let your reality dictate your beliefs” really hit home. I’m 52 and often think it’s too late to change who I am. Thank you for who you are and the content you provide.
Congratulations on the "small" win of competing the barge. Also HUGE shout out to you on how you raise your son's. In this day and age, its such a breath of fresh air seeing a dad with his sons out in the wild being men. I love that. And to your friends for teaching/showing/helping and allowing your boys to work alongside 👏👏...you are a blessed man. I wish I could come from Kenya to assist on a build. That would be my dream.
What are the pontoons made of and where can we get some ???
I’ve seen airplanes drop trout in mountain lakes.
How do I get the sample pack of U2 fastener’s? I’d like to give them a try. I checked their website, but there was nothing about a sample. Thanks
17:02 you're such a silly de Goost
As i was watching, i got sidetracked by work for a minute. I looked back over at the video at 13:12 and had lost track of the scale of the sawmill head. So when Adam came back into frame a few seconds later, he looked like a ten foot tall giant. :)
If you name it Terabithia, please for god's sake damn up any creeks around. 😢
Jesse, I truly recommend looking in to a big impact gun for timber screws. I do timber work in Ontario and use U2 as well. The big impact guns like you would use for lug nuts, they are expensive but completely effortless and worth spending the money
Good work! You should ask friends to come more often!)
Yo, Dude! Here in the states, we have child labor laws, ya know. - LOL Seriously though, it's good the boys grow up learning stuff like this. Brings back memories of me and my four brothers growing up.
